Great Films Come Pouring In!

Film submissions from all over the world are pouring in to DIFF headquarters and we can't wait to share them with you at this year's festival! Think you have what it takes to be a part of the festival? Visit the DIFF website for more information about the submission process. Submissions are also accepted until August 14, 2006 through Withoutabox.com.

 

 

Actor Judge Reinhold to join DIFF Advisory Board

We're pleased to announce that actor Judge Reinhold has joined the Board of Advisors of the Dominican International Film Festival. An actor, director and producer, Judge first gained attention as Brad Hamilton in the iconic teen hit, Fast Times at Ridgemont High and has subsequently appeared in over 50 feature films and dozens of television roles including Detective Billy Rosewood in the blockbuster film series Beverly Hills Cop and, most recently, in all three Santa Claus films with Tim Allen.

DIFF comes to TIFF

For the second year in a row, DIFF gears up for November's Festival with a celebration during the Toronto International Film Festival. Actor Lou Gossett Jr. and other celebrities will be present at the September party so stay tuned for more info!

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Sand is Your Seat at Our Beachside Theatre

Screenings at DIFF are anything but the norm. The festival features a 20' by 30' outdoor screening area set right on the beach. Films will also be shown in the covered outdoor theatre currently undergoing extensive renovation, and in two intimate indoor theatres in the resort. This year, DIFF is proud to announce that screenings will also be held at the local theatre in Puerto Plata, where tickets for individual films will be sold.
